Shaivite - Tamil - Hindu Priest
The Hindu Temple of Central Indiana (HTCI) is seeking a dedicated, qualified, and service‑oriented full-time Hindu Priest to support the spiritual needs of our diverse and growing community. The ideal candidate will be well‑versed in Agama Shastras, proficient in daily and special rituals, and committed to upholding the sanctity and traditions of Sanatana Dharma. Primary Duties include performing Nithya Pujas for Temple deities, conducting special pujas (Satyanarayana, Navdurga, etc.), performing Havans/Homams, and leading chantings.
- •Strong knowledge of Vedic rituals and Agama Shastra (Smartha, Vaishnava, or Shaivite)
- •Fully qualified to perform Shodasha Karmas
- •Ability to conduct Shraddha and cremation ceremonies
- •Valid certification from a recognized Hindu religious institution or university
- •Proficiency in Tamil (Must), Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi
- •Friendly, welcoming demeanor with strong devotion and professionalism
- •Ability to collaborate with staff, committees, and volunteers
- •Working knowledge of English
