Come On A Temple Tour
Hindu Temple of Central Indiana is a monument of exquisite architecture symbolizing Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) in Central Indiana.
Guided tours of the Hindu Temple of Central Indiana are available by appointment during the hours that the Temple is open (please note that the Temple is closed on weekday afternoons). Please email your tour request to firstname.lastname@example.org at least 2 weeks or earlier in advance of your visit so that we have a volunteer available to show you around.
ABOUT OUR TOURS
DURATION: Approximately 1 hour
WHEN: Tours are offered by appointment only, and only during the hours that the Temple is open (please note that the Temple is closed on weekday afternoons); most tours are given on weekday evenings and weekends.
Weekday morning tours can be arranged for school groups or other organizations but since our volunteer guides work fulltime outside the Temple, availability for weekday morning tours is limited. If it is possible for your group to come on an evening or weekend, we would appreciate it.
TOPICS COVERED: Some essentials about Hinduism and how the spaces and symbols of the temple help the spiritual journey
DRESS CODE: Shoes must be left in the lobby; clean, modest clothing (such as you would wear to church) is preferred
COST: The tour is free of charge
TO ARRANGE A TOUR: Please email email@example.com, listing 3 alternative dates/times for your tour. A volunteer will respond to your email to confirm a time for the tour.
If you would like a representative of the Hindu Temple of Central Indiana to come to your school, site or event to provide information on Hinduism or on the Temple, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would appreciate it if you would email your request at least two weeks in advance, so our volunteers can adjust their schedules accordingly.
